#56 - Girls Trip!

Marissa and I picked up our rental car and upgraded to a convertible! Having never driven one before, I was pretty excited (note the huge smile, see the gum?); Marissa has one but still humored me and let me drive EVERYWHERE with the top down.
Our major reason for taking the trip was for great shopping deals. Check out the line waiting to get into Last Chance - where clothes go after Nordstrom's Rack. Special of the day was an extra 50% of short sleeve t-shirts, scarves and tanks were all $1!!
Here is Heather and me! Hadn't seen her in 3 years, great time catching up with her!
Lunch was at Il Postino, YUM! Here's the bruschetta plate I shared with Heather. From left to right: tomato/basil/mozzerella, ricotta/dates/pistachios, roasted peppers/goat cheese, roasted artichoke hearts.
Here's "the plate" which we didn't order but the waiter brought us for free. A little bit of everything delicious! Also, I'd like to mention that ALL of their wine from an extensive wine list was $5/glass.
A few drinks and jell-o shots later, here is the whole group in Scottsdale. We grabbed some dinner Saturday night at El Gringo before dancing at The Devil's Martini. Great weekend!

#55 - New Baby!

LOTS of great pics from the weekend to share, but...just found out that my niece is pregnant! Andrea is 23 (will be 24 next week) and is graduating from nursing school in June. She lives with her boyfriend, Vincent (who is also a nurse but in the ER), in Corona. Andrea is about 6 weeks along, due December 20th. It's been a while since we've had a baby around, looking forward to it!!

#54 - Girls' Weekend!

Going to an Angels game tonight - bundling up, it's gonna be COLD (around 50 and possibly raining)! Then off to AZ tomorrow afternoon for a F-U-N weekend with the girls = shopping, massages, laying out, eating, drinking, taking lots of pics...to follow!!

#53 - Jerseylicious

I'm an admitted reality show freak...and I've got a new addiction - Jerseylicious on the Style network. I highly recommend going on the website, uploading a photo of yourself (free of charge) and giving yourself a Jerseylicious makeover. Please enjoy mine, my teeth are pink because it's lipstick - the program didn't count on you showing your teeth. Lots of other fun makeovers to try out, for example, have you ever thought how you would look with Rhianna's hair? Want to try a bold color lipstick but hate how it stains your lips? Fun times, I highly recommend.

#52 - Autumn's Awesome 80s B-day Party!

Lui's really good friends, Kevin & Autumn, hosted Autumn's theme b-day party at their house on Saturday night. Was a fun time! In the pic (I reached out and snapped this one of us) we're taking chocolate cake shots to kick off the night - vodka & frangelico with a lemon wedge dusted in sugar, tases just like chocolate cake! We snuck this round in before the larger part of the group arrived, partied until 1:30AM!!

#51 - First Angels Game of 2010!

Finally figured out how to adjust photo size (simple oversight...) - anyway, went to my first Angels game of the season last night! It was a work event and it was "free beanie night" courtesy of Cacique cheese. In the pic with me is Shelly and Tonya, they are sales agents and clearly are experiencing none of the nasty effects of gravity like I am. :) Was a fun night even though we lost; we lost to the MN Twins so if there was a team to lose to, that would be the one!

#50 - LPGA at Kraft Nabisco Championship

Snapped this on my cell phone just before security came over to me and said phones and cameras aren't permitted. ;) Michelle Wie had just teed off and was watching another person in her group. Yani Tseng ended up winning. Man, those ladies crack the golf balls hard!!

#49 - Easter Earthquake

Sunday afternoon, I was sitting on the couch watching the end of the LPGA Kraft Nabisco Tournament (we had a booth at the event for work and I had just returned from Ranch Mirage). A while after the earthquake started I decided to record the chandelier swinging. My neighbors downstairs came out of their house and were talking to each other - you can hear me in the video repeating what I heard them say, they thought it was us upstairs causing the shaking/noise (I didn't realize I was such a noisy neighbor!). Reports stated that it was a 6.9 but later say it was a 7.2 with lots of aftershocks centered in Mexicali. It was a rolling earthquake so no major jolts felt. Another day in southern California! (Btw, that was Lui in the video going outside to talk to the next door neigbor - and , yes, that is my microwave on a kitchen cart in my dining room...I just got my kitchen countertops installed on Friday!!)
