#48 - Mia turns 34!

Here's the whole crew (minus Tracey & Douglas) who celebrated Mia's 34th at Auld Dubliner on Friday night - from left to right: Matt, Josh, me, Erik and Mia. Tracey and Douglas split to grab some "real food" at In & Out Burger - we ordered 3 appetizers, all were potato dishes. :) Lui was working or he would have been there, too! Happy birthday, Mia - always a fun time out with her!!

#47 - Time Change

Every year when the time change comes around I dread losing the hour of sleep...until I start getting home when the sun is still out! Not much makes me happier!

#46 - Pala Casino

I am having image issues - not sure why this pic is so tiny...but it's a HUGE casino that we're staying at this weekend! :) Going with our friends Tony & Marissa, always a fun time. Heading out Saturday for the night then will be in Murrieta on Sunday for Lui's goddaughter's 7th birthday party. AND, the weather is absolutely beautiful! 82 degrees is the high both Sat. & Sun.!!

#45 - Worker bee

Driving into work yesterday and today, two words came to mind - worker bee. Both days I was in the car, driving my usual 25 minute commute then *snap* I realize where I am / what I'm doing / where I'm headed - it's official, I'm a in the "driving to work" zone. I've been at several sales trainings and seminars where they say, "Take a different route to work today to start off on a new foot!" Eh, eventually you end up right back at the same office, with the same people. I like my job but I'm the worker bee, I know my "home" (aka work) and fly to it 5 (or more) days each week. :)

#44 - Brrr!

Had lunch with my mom today and we were chilly once we stepped back outside after lunch. I just checked the temperature and it's 58 degrees. We had to laugh because even not knowing what the temperature was at the time, we know we have lived in much colder. Take Bismarck North Dakota for example, it is 34 degrees right now - brrr!

#43 - Dinner w/ Good Friends! :)

After TWO weeks of postponing this dinner, we finally made it out with Marissa & Tony! The past two weekends we've tried but Lui had to work - third time was the charm. We had dinner at Ruth's Chris in Irvine followed by dessert at The Winery in Tustin. Before that, we met up at Marissa's and heard all about their engagement story and wedding plans they have so far - she asked her mom to be her MOH because she's her best friend (so sweet!). Very excited for these two - Nov. 12th is the date!

#42 - Pandora

Right now I'd like to give a shout out to Pandora.com. I appreciate the free music and that you can play by genre - with only an occasional, short commercial message here and there and most importantly that it's FREE!! I know you can pay a small fee ($10/year?) to have endless free music but I rarely get to that point where I've used my 30 (?) free hours since I'm in and out of the office. LOVE the Pandora. :)
